Proposed Budget FY2015-16

The Library’s “Proposed Budget FY2015-16” is presented to the public as part of the proposed budget for the City of Garden City.  The Library Board retains responsibility for approving, and exclusive control over, the Library’s budget. However, in an effort to reduce redundancy, provide transparency, and facilitate public involvement in the budget process, the Board and the City present their proposed budgets as a single document.  For the same reasons, the Public Hearing for the budget is also held jointly.

The Library’s proposed budget begins on page 74 of the attached document.

Annual Report

The 2015 Annual Report of the Garden City Public Library is now available for online viewing and printing. This report contains both the calendar and fiscal year data illustrating how the Library has worked toward fulfilling our Mission: to serve the residents of Garden City (Michigan) as a resource of traditional and evolving library services.  Where useful, historical data has also been included.  The full report can be found here: http://www.gardencitylib.org/2015-annual-report/

I would like to thank all the Library Staff, especially our Youth Librarian (Erin Look) and our Adult Librarian (Lisa Kleinert), for all the hard work which made 2015 a success!  I also thank the local businesses and organizations which have supported the Library’s programs.
